Young man

Leadership

Some of the goals of this training are:

  • To develop personal skills needed to help solve individual and group problems in human relations;
  • To learn about the effects of prejudice and discrimination in our society;
  • To achieve better understand and respect for oneself and others;
  • To have fun.
  • See our photos from last years camp!

This is accomplished by interactive, hands-on activities with students and staff of different religions, races, lifestyles and cultures.

We will be selecting a cross section of MCC's student population. Thus, all students who would like to contribute or learn to be leaders for our diverse communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Only 60 students will be selected for this fun, learning experience.

Upon completion of this training, students return to the college and community with an improved awareness of themselves and multiple perspectives of the world around them. Students will experience and realize that they CAN make a difference in our world of human diversity.

Please encourage and/or recommend any students you feel would benefit from participating in this successful program. Students can pick up applications from the Office of Multicultural Services, located in building 37. Click here for a PDF online copy of the application.
