AMERICORPS:

Mesa Community College participates in the AmeriCorps Tuition Reimbursement program. For specific questions about how to participate in the AmeriCorps program contact the Office of Service Learning at 480-461-7393. Click here to visit the Service learning web site.

To complete your AmeriCorps Award Request online please follow the application instructions carefully. You may view the status of your Americorps award after you have completed the request online as well. You will need to create a user ID and password to complete your request online. You may also contact the Student Financial Services office at 480-461-7441, option 2, to inquire about the status of your AmeriCorps award after you have completed the request online.

 

Mesa Community College's AmeriCorps Award Criteria

    • The payment request will only be approved for the semester you are currently enrolled in at MCC. A payment request will not be accepted for a previous semester.
    • The payment request is only approved for tuition, fees, and books/supplies.

The total of your request may include the total cost of your tuition and fees plus the actual cost of your books (or the maximum amount allowed for books based on your enrollment status).

  1. To use AmeriCorps awards to cover a computer you must meet the following criteria:
  • You must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in order for the Cost of Attendance to cover miscellaneous expenses.
  • You must pay for the computer out of pocket and then submit the purchase receipt to the Student Financial Services Office with an intention to receive reimbursement.
  1. You must submit and AmeriCorps payment request each semester you want to receive your AmeriCorps award.
  • Summer session I and II are considered one semester.
  • Winter Inter-session is considered part of the Spring semester.
