The Office of the Navajo Nation Student Financial Aid (ONNSFA) has extended the Fall 2008 deadline to submit the Financial Need Analysis until August 15, 2008.

TRIBAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available for Native American students through various tribes. To find out if you are eligible for a tribal scholarship contact your Tribal Higher Education/ Scholarship Office.

To apply for a tribal scholarship follow the steps below:

1. You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
2. Complete your tribe's Financial Need Analysis (FNA). Go to www.aasfaa.org to complete the FNA. Please follow the application instructions carefully and meet all deadlines to make sure you are considered for tribal funding.
3. Turn in all documents needed by the Student Financial Services Office to complete your financial aid file.
4. Once your financial aid file is complete (For example: all verification, citizenship, appeal, etc. documents that are needed to complete your financial aid file have been turned in to Student Financial Services.) Please allow our office 24 to 48 hours to complete the FNA after your financial aid file has been completed. (Please note that it may take up to 30 business days to complete your financial aid file once you have submitted all the required documents.)
