Financial Aid

Disbursement Information - Spring 2010

Mail and disbursement dates apply only to students who have received a Financial Aid Award Notification Letter or who can view their award on their Student Center on My.maricopa.edu. Students who applied late, or did not submit paperwork in a timely manner, may not be awarded financial aid until after the start of the semester. A financial aid (FA) check will not be issued until after the student is awarded. All financial aid checks are mailed.

Disbursement begins: February 3, 2010

For the Spring 2010 semester, Mesa Community College will begin disbursing funds on February 3, 2010 (two weeks after the semester begins).  Therefore, all Financial Aid checks will be mailed out starting February 4, 2010.  As a result, it is recommended that you budget accordingly until the scheduled disbursement check is sent out to you.

Awarded Students

Students who completed the 2009-2010 FAFSA and submitted all required documentation to our office by Nov. 25, 2009 - Please note:

  • Your classes will be held.
  • Your financial aid checks will be mailed out starting February 4, 2010.

For Non-Awarded Students

This is due to the high volume of applications and paperwork received by our office in December and January.

  • As a courtesy your classes may be held until January 13, 2010. This will allow you enough time to pay for your classes or to get on the payment plan. See more information on the payment plan log here .
