FEDERAL WORK-STUDY (FWS) STUDENTS!! To apply for work-study jobs, go to the department and submit an application in person. Most jobs start at $7.50 per hour. You may work 20 hours per week maximum. Stop in Career Services before you apply, to pick up a Referral Form. Bring a copy of your Financial Aid award letter when you pick up your Referral Form . If you do not bring a copy of your award letter, your work start date will be delayed.

Get a FWS Job on campus in 5 easy steps !
1. Get awarded Federal Work Study through the Financial Aid office. Print your award letter.
2. Go to Career Services with your award letter, to pick up a Referral Form. View the job openings.
3. Apply for a job. Get hired.
4. Go to Campus Human Resources to complete your employment paperwork. Be sure to leave your Referral Form and a copy of your award letter with them.
5. Check with your Supervisor for your Start Date.
If you are a student who does not qualify for Federal Work-Study and looking for an on-campus job, stop by the Career Center. There are some non-work-study (department budget) student employment positions. Come in and see what we have posted!
MCC Federal Work Study Supervisors: Use the FWS Job Order Form to post your openings. Complete the form and forward to Debby Smith in Career Services. Please also remember to let us know when you have filled an opening, so we can keep our records current.
