Meet Our Staff
Respect for human diversity is a fundamental value of the American Indian Center. The different ethnic and tribal backgrounds of our staff give us a unique perspective and appreciation of the challenges facing the modern Native American student. This appreciation allows us to better serve our diverse communities more effectively and with more sensitivity.
Bo Colbert, Director.
Charles "Bo" Colbert is an enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in Oklahoma. Bo received his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Recreation from Northeastern Oklahoma State University, a Masters Degree in Education (1978) and Doctor of Education Degree from Arizona State University in 1999. Loretta Damon, Program Advisor
Ms. Damon is a proud member of the Dine’ (Navajo Nation). She is born to the Ashiihii; and Todich’ii’nii; To’ahani and hashtl’ishnii clans.
Ms. Damon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Masters of Arts in Education from Arizona State University. She completed extensive counseling coursework at Arizona State University. Read more...

Jackson Harris, Recruitment/Community Outreach Liaison
Jackson Harris is an enrolled member of the Gila River Indian Community, she also has ties to the Dine’, Hopi and Tohono O’odham nations, respectively. She is Salt Clan born for the Sun Clan(Hopi). Read more...
