The information provided here are some of the more essential services.
If a service you are in need of is not listed, be sure to ask.
  • Professional Growth Funds: Adjunct faculty are entitled to apply for professional growth funds during the semester in which they teach. See the Adjunct Professional Growth web page for additional information.

  • Employee Tuition Waivers: Adjunct faculty are entitled up to six credit hours of tuition waivers during the semester in which they teach. Tuition waivers may also be used to take the required EDU250 course. Read the Tuition Waiver Program article published by the Legal Department.

  • Adjunct Office: There is a shared Adjunct Faculty office available for your use in BPO24. The office is equipped with a computer and telephone. If you need privacy to speak to students; any open classroom that is available may be used.

  • Mailbox Folder: You will be assigned a mail folder in the file cabinets in the Business Department workroom. Please check this folder each week. Dated notices about rosters, student messages, and other important information will be placed in your mailbox.

  • Duplicating: A copier is available for faculty use in the Business Department workroom. This copier is to be used for “small” jobs, no more than 20 copies. The department copier is not for student use. For most copying jobs, please use the Campus Copy Center. Fill out the Duplicating Request Form completely.

Each faculty will be issued a copy code by the Office Coordinator. This code is entered on the copy counter attached to the copier in the workroom, and it can also be used on other administrative copy machines around the campus. The copy code is also the Account Number entered on the Duplicating Request Form. The Duplicating Request Forms can be found on the north counter in the Business Department workroom. Attach the completed request form to the original documents and place them in the pick-up tray in the business department workroom. The pick-up tray is located near the copy request forms.

Campus Copy Center picks up and delivers three times a day. Your completed work will be on the counter in the workroom. Please allow enough time to get your materials back when needed.

The Copy Center is also able to receive electronic copies of your original documents in MS Office or PDF format. Email the documents and the information required on the Duplicating Request Form to (copycenter@mcmail.maricopa.edu). Phone (480) 461-7776, Website: www.mc.maricopa.edu/other/copy_center/

Note: All special orders such as binding, card stock, saddle stapling, fliers for general distribution, originals more than 10 pages, and other special requests need to be approved by the department chair.

  • Make-Up Exams: It is the faculty member’s responsibility to make arrangements to administer make-up exams. If you wish, you may use the Assessment Center (Testing Center) on campus. You would be responsible for delivering the test to the Testing Center and picking it up when it is completed.

There is an “Instructions for Exam Administration Form” that must be completed when leaving an exam in the Testing Center for a student. The form is available at the Testing Center and may be filled out there when you turn in your exam. Students must show a picture ID to take the test in the Testing Center.

Due to limited technology and staff resources, the Assessment Center does NOT support online exams, and can NOT proctor exams for an entire online section. Instructors must make other arrangements. See your Program Director or Department Chair for other options.
