Getting Started
After you enroll in your Open Entry class, you will need to create an MCC email account to access WebCT, our online course management tool.
To Create an MCC Email Account
- Point your browser to the following address:
- https://sso.mc.maricopa.edu/portal/
- Click on Create an Account – located below the submit button.
- Follow the instructions on the Account Creation Utility Page to create your MCC email account. For more information on how to choose a username and password, click on the Username Help and Guidelines / Password Help and Guidelines.
- It may take 24-48 hours for your account to activate.
- Visit the Distance Learning Page and complete all of the WebCT Distance Learning Tutorials to learn how to use WebCT effectively.

- Login
- Navigate WebCT
- Assessments
- Assignments
- Log in to WebCT through the MCC portal by pointing your browser to https://sso.mc.maricopa.edu/portal/
- Enter your MCC email user name and password.
- The Course Listing page appears. If the current semester is not showing, scroll to the bottom of the page and change the semester.
- Select the course to enter into it.
- Read through your course materials, purchase your textbook, and download your data files.
- Send Open Entry an email with your start and end date as your first assignment.
