The Veteran's Rose Garden

The Veteran's Rose Garden Dedication - November 10, 2004

The newest addition to the Rose Garden is the Veteran's Garden. The garden is designed to honor all veterans.

There are five circular beds that represent the five services: Army, Navy, Marine Corp, Air Force and Coast Guard. Each has a flag pole to accommodate their service flag.

In front of the service beds is a plaza that will seat over 200 people. There are three flag pole in front of the plaza, one for the United States flag, one for our State Flag and the other is for the College flag or an MIA flag or it can be used to hold the flag of other organizations, such as the American Legion, Veteran's of Foreign Wars, etc.

In back of the flag poles is a wall surrounded by two additional beds. The wall will be planted with the climbers, Fourth of July and America.

All of the roses in this garden have patriotic names, such as Veteran's Honor, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Silver star, Honor, American Hero, etc. We will have 2,000 roses in this new bed.

We invite all of the service organizations in the state to use this area of the garden for their ceremonies
