Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship

Application Deadline: Friday, November 13, 2009
Total Scholarship Funds: $600.00
Individual Awards: 5 - $600 scholarship awards

Eligibility Criteria:

• 2.5 minimum GPA
• 6 credit hour minimum enrollment at Mesa Community College
• Attach a copy of Spring 2010 registration form
• Attach a copy of unofficial high school or college transcripts even if first semester of attendance
• Must meet all requirements at time of application

Frank Lanza Memorial Scholarship

Application Deadline: Thursday, October 15, 2009
Total Scholarship Funds: Up to $25,000.00
Individual Awards :Up to 25 individual $1,000.00 awards

Eligibility Criteria:

• Students pursuing associate degrees in Registered Nursing, Respiratory Care or Emergency Medical Services.
• Students showing academic and leadership accomplishments.
• Students who demonstrate financial need.

Helping Hands for Single Moms

• Take a minimum of 9 college credit hours per semester
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA
• Have at least one child under the age of 11
• Not be living with a domestic partner
• Live in Maricopa County, Arizona

Scoresby Family Psychology Scholarship

Application Deadline: Friday, November 13, 2009 by noon
Total Scholarship Funds: $1,000.00
Individual Awards:1 $1,000.00 award for the Fall 2009 semester

Eligibility Criteria:

• Only students with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and above.
• The student's GPA in psychology courses will also be considered.
• Students must be current MCC students and have completed at least 20 (twenty) semester hours at MCC including a minimum of 6 (six) hours of Psychology Department courses.
